Raising passive income and lowering expenses

LOGAN, Utah---Too many people are unhappy with their jobs. Becoming a member at Cache Valley Area Investors Association will help you to become financially independent. Even in times of economic recession, there are still many job opportunities.

Founder and President Preston Parker said, “Money does not buy happiness, things don’t buy happiness. Once you get regular things like clothes and food, from that point on, money doesn’t buy happiness.”

To achieve financial independence, CVAIA helps you to focus on education and networking. The organization holds regular meetings at 7 pm every other Thursday in the Cache Chamber of Commerce located at 160 N. Main in Logan. At the beginning of each meeting, the first 30 minutes is dedicated to getting to know everyone and discussing the various backgrounds each member has. After the discussion, a presentation by a guest speaker is scheduled. This week JaNiel Parker will be giving the presentation. The topic is coupons; the lost investment. The meetings are open to all aspects of life. Whether you are a beginner in investing or have been buying and selling land for decades. Come one come all. The meetings are free of charge.

Preston Parker started CVAIA in August 2007. Parker’s inspiration to start the organization began when people would come to him and ask him for financial advice. Parker started the organization as a way to have scheduled advice to all those who are interested in being financial independent.

Resume Advice: Online JCOM

These articles on writing resumes came at the perfect time. I am currently trying to update my resume. The points made in these articles were of value to me because I feel like somewhere in between learning how to write essays and papers I missed the day we were taught how to put together a resume. Whenever I sit down to write a resume I always draw a blank and even when I finish it, it looks bland and boring.

I especially appreciated the article on common resume mistakes. It seems as though I never know how to word certain tasks I did at other jobs. I also worry I’m not being the most honest I can be in resumes. The article doesn’t suggest lying but marketing yourself in such a way that is appealing to the person hiring you for the job. It’s nice to have a source to tell you what’s good resume etiquette and how to compile a proper resume to your best advantage.
